Mother Nature

A refreshing breeze on a hot summer’s day

A warm ray of sun in a freezing winter’s morning

The occurrences of these extremes drive home your point

(In total darkness, shines brightest a faint ray of light)

This leaves me at a constant bequest

In spring, a full spectrum of colors is on display

And their fragrances, my senses, indulge

When I swim in a sweet-water lake

Or in the salty water of the ocean

Senses are heightened

And those that have long been asleep

Awakened!

But like all living beings, you have your tempests

In a short moment, you tear through meadows, forests,

countries and cities

And seemingly, all lives and structures give feebly

After all that, comes compassion and forgiveness

All are redeemed and salvaged

Time outpaces us all

Yet you seem to be untouched

In the cyclical change of seasons

Accordingly, your landscape changes, un-smudged

I shall give in to time as all livings do

But again into you, I’ll dissolve

To be a part of you

Like always have been
