Wounded
Beguiled by the crafty façade
Whose nature is incognito to naked eyes
Love, once so heavenly, is now
A charade of sugarcoated deceits, lies, and hypocrisy
Not for long, inconspicuous deceptions
Begin to unveil their true colors
Commence to emerge
Apparent
Bemused by a grim reality
Of having lost
And doubt that it’ll ever again be found,
When time has passed and healed
Now, the freshly inflicted wound
Still so profound
The wounded mind
Scrupulously perceives
That love is but an eternal anguish
