Tôi đi tìm tôi chẳng thấy tôi đâu ?
Chỉ thấy trời xanh đất rộng biển sâu
Chỉ thấy giọt sương treo ở đầu cành
Chỉ thấy mây tan, nước cuốn, hoa trôi ...

Hỏi gió, hỏi mây, hỏi đất, hỏi trời !
Mênh mông bát ngát, trời hỡi tôi đâu ?

Hoa lá cỏ cây xanh biếc một màu
Tôi ở nơi đâu ?
Tôi ở nơi đâu ?
Xuống tầng địa ngục hỏi lũ Ma Vưong
Có thấy tôi chăng, ở chốn đọa đầy

Lên hỏi Ngọc Hoàng nơi chín tầng mây
Sao chốn nhân gian muôn vạn khổ đau ?
Tôi đi tìm tôi trong cõi vô thường
Chỉ thấy ai kia đang ngậm giọt sầu!!

Vũ trụ bao la, tôi đi tìm tôi
Không gian vô tận, người hỡi tôi đâu ?
Ôi ! hỡi cuộc đời sắc sắc không không
Có thấy tôi chăng?
Có thấy tôi chăng??

IN SEARCH OF MYSELF

I am in search of myself to no avail
Seeing only the blue sky, the immense land and sea
