Romantic

Instead of a bouquet of roses, I have brought in
A stack of poems written yesterday's morning
When I got stuck by a street full of snow
When city truck failed to show up to plow

Poems are passed around and read in kind
I have become the last romantic left behind
In your Western world in this kind of modern days
I am just one of many of the old-fashioned ways

"How romantic you are, the man with hidden talents!"
Thanks, they are only some of the translations
Those words, nouns, verbs, adjectives... put into motions
To reflect my thoughts, my inner sentiments

I am in the same school of thoughts with the olds
Roses will fade in a few days
Poems on contrary are here to stay
We mock each other and we laugh together on this Valentine's Day
