HOÀNG-ÂN:  Still Uphill Hiking

April 18th, 2025, I'll reach a perfect Sixty-Four; one more year to be a senior citizen in the United States of America.  Sixty-two the momentum was speeding up the freeway and I was flying high in the social world.  Suddenly, Sixty-three was rough, negotiating the paths upward the aging process of my rites of passage.  Biologically my hardware needed to go to the dealers for parts:  eyes needed bifocals; wondrous ivory real teeths pulled for dentures; knees gave out; hands needed splints for carpal tunnel; severe sinus needed to be operated on; energy depleted.  Psychologically, the symptoms of my Schizophrenia Affective got worse: manic-depressive; anxiety; restlessness; panic attacks; audio and visual hallucination.

Still, I am spirited and marching on.  I have yet to reach the to the top of the cliff.  I am only journeying through the higher valley of the mountain range of the last Season of a human's rites of passage.  There are still myriad paths to travest and explore.  After all, I can still walk.  All my life I was a walker, travelling upon my two strong legs.  And I love hiking. The vista that I called The View is still on the other side of my uphill hike.  I am still hiking upward and cannot wait for the view on the final height.  I appreciate all hikers interfaced along the trails.  And I celebrate my youthful attitude at sixty-three wherein I am preparing for the long stretch still ahead.  Yes, I am still upward traveling.
