The learning game...
A week of school, of homeworks, sewing, cutting patterns... passed by within a breath worth of time. By the time looking at the calendar, another week has already approached, and the quarter started to reach its end.
The circle of a busy life- evoking inspirations and stirring spirits of life.
This, is the lifestyle that motivate me to move on, to reach my goal, to achieve my dreams.
So energetic.
So creative.
So colorful...
I live in the world that requires the constancy of a great imaginary, an ability to stabilize my energy and creativity.
I meet challenges.
I face loneliness.
A world with no familiar faces, no time for stops of distractions... my week goes by without having me ever looking at the clock each day...
A week spent at home with family in a small town, from an unrecognized state for most people, South Dakota.
So calm.
So peaceful.
So... isolated from all the drama that goes on in the world.
Everyone woke up in early morning, getting ready to fulfill their duty as individuals.
8 hrs of work, going home for a nice warm meal.
Cleaning up, rewarding a long day with some entertainment system...
By 10 O'clock at night, everyone started moving to own rooms. Light turned off. Every move, every sound was carefully eliminated. An ending of an ordianry day!
I found myself relaxed. With no worries, no plans, no deadlines, no pressure. Time seemed to stop, lazily passing by. The day seemed longer. As I recalled no point of getting up or making any move, all those stressfull times at school seemed vanishing. The dramas in life became unreal.
Everything was too easy, almost to the extent of plain-ness.
Being at Sioux Falls never bored me. The city contains so much peacefullness. In winter days, everything was covered in one soft, white color, the city went into its sleep stage. While to others, a snowy winter in such a tiny, undramatic city like that seemed rather dull, I, on the other hand, always saw it as a romantic picture. The whiteness of snow somehow gave me the feeling of protection, as a mother putting her big long coat onto a group of children. With so much love, the city was put into sleep by its loving mother nature.
I spent winters in the city of lakes. With the same whitery winter, this city, however, did not provoke a feeling of romance. The city was larger. More populated. More modern. More polished.. More aggressive.
Mother nature came every year, still have not successfully put the city to sleep. The city was constantly moving, disregarding his mother's coat... Like a child running wild in the rain, leaving his mother chasing behind with a cover...
I have the fortune of experiencing the differences between the 3 cities- Sioux Falls, Minneapolis and San Francisco. As children coming from the same mother, they each have different characteristics.
As I find myself peaceful,...too peaceful in the city of Sioux Falls, where my motivation reached no alertness, Minneapolis, however, awaken my creativity and evoked my desire to imagine, then, left it with no turns. Leaving the two unalike - similar cities, I then met the city filled with artistic edges. The city gave me the energy while teasing to take it away with its moodiness at any time. So unpredictable with its weather, San Francisco gave its people the challange to always be prepare. As tiny of a city, yet so beautifully diversed, San Francisco is comparable to a petite lady with much strength and wisdom to offer her partner, therefore, asked an equal quality in return.
As fortunate as I am to have lived and tasted the beauty of the 3 cities, I, at times, admired and envied of the people, like my loved ones in SD and MN, for I do not have (or have lost?) the ability to live in such simplicity of a life.
As my desire of reaching out grew, I have gained the ability to be ambitious, to be strong willed about life, determine about needs, and...losing my ability to settle, to be easily pleased and satisfied...
It's a win-lose, lose-win, or no lose-no win game?
I suddenly miss the saying, "Ignorance is a bliss"
